Role Overview

As a Software Engineer on the Product Engineering team at Colorpay.ai, you will own and lead engineering projects across our various product lines. You will work closely with our AI, Finance, Tax, Legal, and Modularity teams to build secure systems that deliver value to our customers. We are looking for individuals who have worked across the stack on incredible products across consumer, enterprise, and various industries and who are excited about building the future of application layer and genAI products.

In this role, you'll work across the stack to integrate advanced machine learning models with robust, production-grade user interfaces and APIs. You’ll be responsible for delivering performant, secure, and user-centric features that bring real-time AI capabilities to our customers.

What You'll Do

  • Retrieval over peta-byte scale documents
     

  • Organizational-level interfaces to collaborate with AI
     

  • Develop and maintain both frontend and backend components for AI-first features, including dashboard UIs, inference APIs, user workflows, and system health monitoring tools.
     

  • Work with frameworks like React/Next.js, Node.js, and Python-based APIs (FastAPI or Flask) to integrate ML models into scalable and responsive products.
     

  • Government-level security for the world's most sensitive matters
     

  • Collaborate with ML and DevOps teams to handle model serving infrastructure, streaming data pipelines, and user-facing analytics tools
     

  • Design systems that expose ML decisions transparently, support real-time inference, and securely manage access to AI capabilities.

What You Have

  • 4+ years of experience as a full-stack engineer, with a strong understanding of both modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, or Next.js) and backend systems (Node.js, Python, or Go);
     

  • Track record of building fast-growing SaaS products by leveraging PWA technologies.
     

  • Track record of shipping highly intuitive products, strong attention to detail.
     

  • Experience building backend platforms that can support multiple product lines.
     

  • Strong programming skills and general Computer Science knowledge.
     

  • Grit - experience working at early-stage startups is a plus.
     

  • Strong grasp of software architecture, testing (unit/integration), and performance profiling in high-load environments

Compensation Range

$175,000 - $250,000 USD
